Benicassim // When The Chips Are Down…

Being clever is one thing, but having the talent to back it up quite another. So, you’re playing second on the bill on the main stage? Not quite top of the tree, but close enough to be pretty damn pleased with yourself. Time to crack out the all-white suit and combo? Ordinarily no, but then, Noize isn’t Hot Chip. Sadly, we don’t have the tunes or the talent to pull off such a gesture, no matter how hard we try. Fortunately, they did. After a rip-roaring set containing all the songs you wanted to hear and none of the ones you didn’t, it’s easy to see why these guys are the Kings of Cool. Damn, if only we had that much style.
