Secret Garden Party // Eel Pie With Chips

Being the stylish, urban sophisticates that we are, we’ve sampled some of the finest culinary creations known to man. Eel Pie was not among them. Nor have we set foot on the famous Island, but wandering through this fairyland of a festival, we happened upon the band who have done more than most to keep that little part of Richmond on the map - Mystery Jets.

Apparently half the festival had the same idea as Noize, so rammed was the Cross Roads tent with the weird and wonderful, and Blaine and the boys didn’t disappoint with an eclectic set drawn from the new and old. It was certainly moving and emotional, so much so that even an impromptu strip tease by two particularly lovely young vixens stage right didn’t distract the masses - although we were intrigued just long enough to capture one of the weekend’s more interesting snaps. The rapturous applause and chants for an encore were rewarded with one more track, before the gathered departed in search for more fun and frolics. Although well past our bedtime, Noize soldiered bravely on - little did we know that things were about to get very, very weird.
