Sonisphere // The Declining Standards Of Childhood Behaviour

The bird. The middle digit. The universal sign understood in any language as meaning “Up yours!” Not many people could provoke an angelic 2 year old kid into giving them the finger but Cars On Fire frontman Ali Ross managed just that when the Bristol four piece pummelled the Strongbow Stage on Saturday. Not put off by the near emptiness of the tent when they started their early slot, Cars On Fire kicked it from the start and had secured quite a crowd by the time they’d finished, most of whom, including the finger-giving toddler, seemed blown away by their immense performance. If we’d had a fiver left after all the ciders we’d bought (amongst the ones we hadn’t), we’d stick it on Cars On Fire being all over the festival scene next year in more prominent slots like fat kids fighting over the last Jammie Dodger in the pack. We strongly recommend Noizers who like their music loud and dirty to check these bad boys out. You will thank us.
